Hello GlogsterEDU Ambassadors,

Long time no post...I've been working on a School Premium account through my district.  It was approved and now teachers are excited to be using this great tool in the computer lab for projects.

I recently created a video for a Technology graduate course to share GlogsterEDU in the classroom.

I will also again be presenting Web 2.0 tools in the classroom at St. Rose Tech conference in May.

Enjoy the video:http://youtu.be/ph6R_ZlEEdQ

There is an urgent need for the development of a new educational business model to replace the current model which is outdated and ineffective. To accomplish this goal, we must rethink the way we deliver education. Why do we place students in “boxes” by age? Who determines what, when and how a student is allowed to learn material? How can we eliminate the behavior problems that rob students their right to a quality education? How do we enable teachers to better facilitate and support student learning? Can we eliminate the pressures and anxieties teachers face with “No Child Left Behind” and the competency testing?

Although I am fairly new to Glogster, having found it just this summer, I recognized that it offers us the tool for making the change and have become an Ambassador.

As a member of iNACOL for the past three years, I've witnessed a major shift away from textbooks to delivering curriculum through an interactive and engaging "gaming" environment.  Also effectively support this change is the rapid growth of  Open Educational Resources.

Armed with these two tools, I started to build such a curriculum.  Now I reaching out to you to join me in designing a seamless, engaging, dynamic, mastery-based curriculum which will allow teachers to facilitate individual learners rather then try to direct the learning of a group.

I have written a proposal outlining how I believe this can be accomplished and have talked with companies that may be willing to back the project.  Now I am asking you, who are amazingly talented in developing high quality lessons, to join me in this project.  We know changes have to be made if we are effectively going to engage our students.  I believe these are the tools to begin those changes.

Hi Greg. Glogster is new for me. Hope to learn from you and other members how to use and apply Glogster in the EFL classroom.

Best of luck to all.

Greetings everyone and thank you Greg for inviting me into the group. I found Glogster very interesting. Another creative approach for students and trainers to apply.

Regards!

Rosita,  If you click on the continent you are from in the glog above you should get a map of your continent.  On that map are some push pins.  On is a link to your glog.  There were not many submitted to the form Sarah created so I put what was on that form as push pins on perspective continents.

I would contact Jim Dachos who is a member of this group.  He may be able to help.  I was also asked to be on their advisory board.  If this goes through I will bring up the concern with them.  Thanks.
