As part of a feature here on Technology Integration in Education, I have asked interested vendors to supply our members with a free trial of one of their offerings. In exchange for the free trial, it is my hope that we could build a dialog around what works and what does not work for us educators and what that vendor could do to improve their offering in order for us to reach every student. Please remember to come back and offer constructive comments after testing the product.
For all TIE members we are offering a teacher in every school a free subscription for them and up to 30 of their students for the entire 2011-2012 school year.
Description:
The buzz around here is that BuzzMath is offering a FREE full-access membership for one teacher and 30 of their students in every school for an entire school year. BuzzMath is the latest interactive mathematics workbook for middle school students. This website offers 2,700+ online math problems with instant feedback and detailed solutions. It is amazing to watch students manipulate protractors, create triangles on a grid, view all faces of a 3-dimensional object, and plot points of a linear equation all with the click of a mouse. BuzzMath Teacher Tools make it very easy to monitor the progress of students and differentiate instruction based on real-time data.
