About Me
I am, by training, a psychologist with a specialization in designing products, solutions, and services so that they will be easy for people to use. Currently I am an independent consultant and speaker/presenter in Human Factors, Ergonomics, User Experience, Learning, Leadership and Human Resources.

My presentation Games To Explain Human Factors: Come, Participate, Learn and Have Fun is highly relevant to the mission of this group. Understanding human factors/ergonomics is critical for effective design, development, deployment, and teaching people about technology. This program introduces the field to students from Middle School to High School, College and University. it is also effective at teacher conferences, engineers conferences, psychologists conferences, medical conferences, professional writers conferences and business and industrial training programs.

Other presentations which I offer that are highly relevant to educators and students include:
* Activities To Facilitate Career Planning and Gaining Meaningful Employment (High School and College Editions)
* Career Options With A Psychology Degree (High School and College Editions)
* Effective Leadership Involves Working Through Others (High School, College, University and Professional Editions)
* I'm Awesome, But I Have My Limitations (For milestone events such as a beginning or end of the school semester, graduation week, promotion, corporate or school orientation program)
* Understanding Human Capabilities and Limitations: An Essential Ingredient For Ethical Management (High School, College, University and Professional Editions).
* What Is It Like Working In Industry (Graduate School)
* What's My Job: An Effective Career Orientation Program For Middle S... (Middle School).

Students will retain more from my TV Game Style presentations than from a traditional lecture and they will have more fun than at a typical party.

October Is National Ergonomics Month: A Time For Teaching, Learning, Networking, Service and Fun!!!

Posted on October 3, 2009 at 11:51am 2 Comments

If we are to be truly successful integrating technology into education, the technology needs to be safe, easy and fun to use. Otherwise, people may not use it, they may use it for awhile and then abandon it, or they may use it inefficiently and ineffectively wasting time and possibly money.

The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) has designated the month of October as… Continue
